The purpose of the Five-Diamond Conference Cycle is to address the principal issues that emerging market firms face when transnationalizing and to promote an engaging dialogue among the main actors involved in this process.

The conferences are organized by Fundação Dom Cabral (Brazil), Vale Columbia Center on Sustainable International Investment (USA), Indian School of Business (India), Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO (Russia), and Fudan University School of Management (China). The 2009 Five-Diamond Conference is supported by the IDB (Inter-American Development Bank)

The 2009 Five-Diamond Conference was held in August 18 - 19, at Fundação Dom Cabral, Nova Lima, Brazil. The conference was primarily focused on the corporate perspective of the transnationalization process, specifically, the future opportunities and challenges faced by MNC's  from emerging markets.

The next Five-Diamond Conference will be held in Moscow, Russia, hosted by SKOLKOVO School of Management.
